Mental Health Assessments are designed to diagnose mental health disorders such as Depression, Anxiety, Trauma related Disorders etc. Assessments are one of the first steps in the client-therapist relationship. Once an assessment is completed, the direction of the therapeutic relationship is developed.
Individual Therapy involves the client meeting one-on-one with a therapist. The client then works in tandem with the therapist to develop goals the client wants to achieve. The client's consistent application of skills learned in therapy determines how fast and if the client(s) reach their desired goals. The treatment model used varies depending on client need.
Couples and Family Therapy are a form of group therapy designed to further develop the family system. The positive change in the family system is reached by being honest about what hasn't been working, interrupting unhealthy patterns and doing things differently to improve the entire system. It is important that all parties be invested in improving the system.
