Raquel Cherry, LICSW, LCSW, is a clinically licensed psychotherapist with expertise in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, self-doubt, relationship breakdown, life transitions, burnout, and the challenges of parenting alone. Raquel is clinically licensed in both the District of Columbia and Virginia. Raquel holds a master's degree in social work and a bachelor's degree in psychology.
With her client-centered approach to talk therapy; Raquel creates a safe and empathetic space where clients can explore their emotions and develop healthier coping strategies. Her therapeutic style is rooted in empathy, understanding, faith and support as clients learn how to prioritize life responsibilities without losing themselves in the process.
Raquel is especially passionate about supporting professionals as they balance demanding careers and personal lives. She is committed to empowering individuals to avoid burnout, embrace self-care, and cultivate a healthier work-life dynamic.

Services
Individual Therapy
Is a therapeutic process where a person works one-on-one with a clinically licensed therapist to address and manage various psychological, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The goal of individual therapy is to help the person better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, gain insight into their challenges, and develop healthier coping strategies to improve their overall well-being.
Clinical Supervision
This service is available to therapists in the District of Columbia and Virginia who are seeking licensure. Raquel’s supportive, transparent and solution-focused approach to clinical supervision will support the maturing professional throughout his/her growing career.
Please note that supervisees must obtain and show proof of their individual liability insurance prior to engaging in clinical supervision. The clinical supervision must also be noted as “secondary” on the liability insurance policy.
Couple’s Therapy
This therapeutic process allows two individuals in a romantic or committed relationship to address and resolve conflicts, improve communication, and strengthen their emotional connection. The primary goal of couples therapy is to help partners understand each other's needs, resolve relationship issues, and develop healthier ways of interacting with each other.
